• Comments: comment content and, where applicable, your account identity or the guest name, email, and website you submit.

02How information is used

Information is used to provide and administer the site, authenticate accounts, manage profiles and comments, send requested newsletter messages, reply to inquiries, moderate abuse, enforce rate limits, diagnose faults, and protect the site and its readers.

Hosting, database, email, security, and infrastructure providers may process limited information on behalf of Mishel's Devnotes where needed to operate the service. If you choose an external sign-in option, Google or GitHub will also process information under its own privacy policy.

Articles may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by their operators, not by Mishel's Devnotes.

Account, comment, contact, and moderation records may be retained after they are no longer publicly visible when needed for security, dispute resolution, or record keeping.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction or portability of personal information. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

• Update available account details from your profile.
• Ask to unsubscribe from newsletter communications.
• Request help with account, comment, contact-message, or privacy data through the contact page.

Identity may need to be verified before a privacy request is completed. Some information may be kept where retention is required or permitted by law.

07Children's privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please get in touch so the information can be reviewed and removed where required.
